Queridas familias,

It’s hard to believe that we are one week away from Spring Break!  This week we had a short Lacrosse Residency as  a test trial.  The feedback from students and teachers was great, and that is something that we will explore for next year!

Fine Arts Residency

The art residency will end this coming week.  Our students have had a great time working with the artist and creating their creatures.  Again, thank you to all of the parents who assisted with this work!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent teacher conferences will be held on March 21 from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm and on March 22 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Conference registration is now open and will close on March 20 at 8 pm using the link MYCBE. Please note that both days will be in-person.  If you require an online option, please contact your homeroom teacher after you have booked in the system.  They will arrange the online option for you.

Kindergarten (Rodriguez) – conferences will be available on Thursday during the day (Morning and Afternoon) as well.  Kindergarten (Galvez) will be available on Thursday during the morning only, and then again in the evening.  Both will be available on Friday.

Yearbook - 'Make it Happen'

The yearbook cover contest is back! The theme this year is "Make it happen / Haz que pase". Students can submit their best creations no later than March 18th. We love seeing our students' entries and where creativity can take them.

To "make it happen" means to make an effort and work hard for something we want to happen in our lives.

Ask your kids to think about their goals at school or at home - or anything that made them feel proud and happy, or something that they have accomplished. It could also be something that they want to start doing/pursuing or something that they really want to happen.

Encourage them to capture those goals in a drawing and submit the drawing to our yearbook cover contest by March 18th.  Please see the attached poster for details.

WO Mitchell School Council

WO Council helps connect parents to the school and provides additional learning opportunities for all students. There are many ways to get involved that do not require you to hold a position on council. If you would like more information about getting connected or volunteer opportunities, please send an email to womparents@gmail.com  The next meeting will be taking place on April 23 at 7pm.  This will be a hybrid meeting in person and via Microsoft Teams.  The grade 3 team will be presenting during this meeting.
