It’s hard to believe that we are almost halfway through February. With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, please remember that we cannot have students bring candy to share with their classmates. Thank you for your attention to this matter. As well, I wanted to wish our families who celebrate Chinese New Year, a Happy Year of the Dragon!

Kindergarten and Grade 1 Registration

We continue to accept registrations for Kindergarten and Grade 1 until noon of Tuesday February 13, 2024. Our lottery will be held on February 14 at noon. If you know of families who are looking for a Spanish Bilingual school, please let them know to check out our webpage for more information.

Teachers’ Convention and Family Day

Just a reminder that Teachers’ Convention will be held on February 15 and 16 and students will not have school on those days. In addition, Monday February 19 is Family Day. We welcome students back to school on Tuesday February 20.

Scholastic Book Fair

We will be hosting our Scholastic Book Fair on March 19-22. More details will be forthcoming.

Lunchroom and Field Trips Fees

Parents, please be aware that the noon supervision registration is open. If your student stays at school over the lunch program, please register at MyCBE. As well, all school-based fees will be populated in this portal as events happen. Please take note of the fees to pay them in a timely manner.

Fun Lunches

The next Fun Lunch will take place on February 20 from Coco Brookes Pizza.

WO Mitchell School Council

WO Council helps connect parents to the school and provides additional learning opportunities for all students. There are many ways to get involved that do not require you to hold a position on council. If you would like more information about getting connected or volunteer opportunities, please send an email to womparents@gmail.com The next meeting will be taking place on February 27 at 7pm. This will be an online meeting via Microsoft Teams. The Grade 3 team will be presenting for this meeting.
