Thank you to all of you who were able to attend our dance showcase this afternoon.  Students have worked hard over the last few weeks and were proud to share their dance moves with you. 

Class Photos

Class photo day Will take place on Monday May 6, 2024.  Students will be called down as a class to take their photo together. 

Volunteer Tea

Save the date! Our first Post Covid Volunteer Tea will take place on May 22 at 2pm.  More information to come soon. 

Que Pasa

We are excited to announce that on Monday, May 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm, the Calgary Board of Education’s Spanish Bilingual Schools,  from elementary to high school, will come together at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium to present and celebrate the Spanish language, culture, and music through Que Pasa.  Approximately 650 students will sing, dance, and perform in bands to celebrate various genres of music, ranging from folkloric/traditional to contemporary styles.  We are pleased to have CBE’s dignitaries and external international delegations in attendance. As well, CBE’s newly appointed Chief Superintendent Joanne Pitman will also be sharing a few opening remarks. 

We cordially invite all school families, community members, and interested stakeholders to be part of this fantastic celebration of our Spanish Bilingual program.

Lunchroom and Field Trips Fees

Parents, please be aware that the noon supervision registration is open. If your student stays at school over the lunch program, please register at https://sis.cbe.ab.ca/public/home.html As well, all school-based fees will be populated in this portal as events happen.  Please take note of the fees to pay them in a timely manner. 

Fun Lunches

The next Fun Lunch will take place on May 13 from Mucho Burrito.  

Spring Plant Fundraiser 2023/2024

WO Mitchell School Council 

WO Council helps connect parents to the school and provides additional learning opportunities for all students. There are many ways to get involved that do not require you to hold a position on council. If you would like more information about getting connected or volunteer opportunities, please send an email to womparents@gmail.com  The next meeting will be taking place on May 23 at 7pm.  This will be a hybrid meeting in person and via Microsoft Teams.  The grade 1 team will be presenting during this meeting.
