Queridas familias

We have had a fantastic week at school.  Thank you to all families who continue to follow the traffic rules when dropping off and picking up your students.

System Student Accommodation Plan (SSAP)

Later today, you will receive a letter from the Director of Planning outlining some information regarding some possible changes to our school in order to balance enrollment between schools in our community.  More information will be shared in the next School Council meeting.

Individualized Program Plans (IPP)

For students who have an IPP, please note that these will be coming home early next week.  We ask that you review the IPP and send back the signature page in the envelope provided by Friday Oct. 11.  If you have any questions regarding the IPP, please contact your homeroom teacher.

Yearbooks

We have a few extra yearbooks from last year.  If you missed the opportunity to order one, they are available in the office for $20.

Cavalry FC - CBE School Fundraiser Match

We’re just one week away from our very first Cavalry FC – CBE School Fundraiser match, and it promises to be an exciting event! Tickets are selling fast, and we have limited seats left.

This is the perfect opportunity to promote the event through your newsletters or other communication channels. Let’s fill the stands with CBE students and make this a memorable evening!

Here is a reminder of some fun details:

  • Final Home Game of the regular season
  • $3 from each ticket sold will be donated back to your school!
  • Player Meet & Greet after the match
  • Fun Giveaways
  • Kids Festival Zone
  • 1 free hot dog per CBE student
  • Free Parking
  • The top three selling schools will also receive a Cavalry FC Jersey, scarf, and a special visit from a player!

Special rates are available for CBE students, parents, and staff at just $30 per ticket (taxes and fees included).

If you have any questions or need further information, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re looking forward to seeing a sea of enthusiastic CBE students on October 12!

WO Mitchell School Council

WO Council helps connect parents to the school and provides additional learning opportunities for all students. There are many ways to get involved that do not require you to hold a position on council. If you would like more information about getting connected or volunteer opportunities, please send an email to womparents@gmail.com  The next meeting for School Council and the Parent Society will take place on October 22, 2024.  This will be a hybrid meeting with the opportunity to join via Microsoft Teams.

With gratitude,

Erick Noriega,

Principal
