Dear W.O. Mitchell Families,
As we head into the Family Day long weekend, I would like to thank our families for your continued support and partnership. I hope you are able to enjoy meaningful time with family and friends.
Following the break, our focus on citizenship and well-being will continue across the school. Eve and I will continue visiting classrooms, engaging students in conversations grounded in our Pillars of Care:
- Care for Self
- Care for Others
- Care for Place
Teachers will reconnect with their classes through talking circles, providing opportunities for students to share their voice, reflect, and strengthen their sense of belonging.
During these discussions, students and staff will co-construct what the Pillars of Care look and sound like in classrooms, across the school, and within our broader community. This shared language supports a consistent and collective approach to citizenship.
The Pillars of Care will continue to be intentionally reinforced through daily routines, classroom discussions, and problem-solving throughout the year.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students as caring and responsible members of our school community.

Fun Lunches
Fun Lunches are offered throughout the year through Healthy Hunger, with a portion of proceeds supporting the school.
To participate:
1. Register at www.healthyhunger.ca
2. Order by midnight five days before the event.
If your child is absent on Fun Lunch day:
· Please contact the school before 10:30 AM if you wish to pick up their lunch (available after 1:30 PM).
· If we do not hear from you, the lunch will be donated.
· Refunds are not available for absences.

We have been able to acquire a few samples for sizing. If you would like to try a sample before ordering, please visit the office. The turn-around time from order to picking up or sending the order is around 3 weeks.
