Pink Shirt Day – Feb. 25

Pink Shirt Day is next week, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Across the Calgary Board of Education, schools recognize this day by promoting kindness, inclusion, and taking a stand against bullying. Students and staff are encouraged to wear pink and take part in activities that help create safe, caring, and welcoming school communities.

Playground Fundraising 

Donate directly to W.O. Mitchell Playground Fundraising Campaign. EducationMatters will issue donations receipts for donations of $20 or more.

Our Spring Fundraiser begins on Monday, and we’re excited to offer two great ways to support our school! Families can order delicious products from Spolumbos, including sausages, lasagna, meatballs, and sauces, as well as sweet treats from Meela’s Mixes, featuring easy-to-make, family-friendly baking mixes. 

Order forms and details will be sent home with your students on Monday so keep an eye out for it.

Ordering deadline: March 18
Pickup date: April 2, from 3:50–6:00 PM at the school

Alberta Education Assurance Survey

Grade 4,5,6 students will be completing the Alberta Education Assurance Survey on March 4, 2026. Participation is voluntary and anonymous. The survey gathers valuable feedback about school experiences and helps guide continuous improvement in our education system. Please use the above link to access the parent / guardian letter.

School Spirit Wear

We have been able to acquire a few samples for sizing.  If you would like to try a sample before ordering, please visit the office. The turn-around time from order to picking up or sending the order is around 3 weeks.
